Set to take place April 12-14 and April 19-21 in Indio, California, the festival will feature the Irish band on April 13 and April 20, the Saturday night of each weekend. They have been added to one of the largest music festivals in the United States – Coachella. Two Door Cinema Club will be returning to the United States after their gigs in Texas set to take place in April. The band is going to have a busy 2013 with a UK tour currently underway and performances scheduled for Coachella in the United States and T in The Park later this year. Jay-Z headlined the event, which also included performances from Jack White, Lana Del Rey and Florence and The Machine. Last year the event was staged at London’s Hackney Marshes to mark the opening of the Olympic Park. The free event has not yet revealed the full lineup and headlining acts, but has announced that Ireland’s own Two Door Cinema Club will be on the bill. It has been nine years but now the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend festival will be back in Londonderry, Northern Ireland for a three day event set to take place May 24 through May 26. Two Door Cinema Club will join Skrillex, Pet Shop Boys and Kraftwerk as the biggest names on the bill for the festival. Set to take place June 14 through June 16 in Barcelona, Spain, the Sonar Festival is a huge event, drawing over 80,000 attendees over the course of three days, all of whom set out to enjoy the best in international music and art, with a heavy emphasis on the tunes. Two Door Cinema Club, who continue to build their tour plans across Europe in 2013 (see below posts for more details), have revealed their plans to be one of the headlining acts as part of the 2013 edition of the Sonar Festival. Set to take place August 17 and August 18, the festival dates are just two of several big festival appearances the band has this year. Bands and artists perform at one location on Saturday and then swap on Sunday.
Held annually in the United Kingdom, the festival takes place at two parks simultaneously and share the same bill – those parks being Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in South Staffordshire. Two Door Cinema Club have been confirmed on the bill of this year’s V Festival.
